Ty had a blast trunk or treating at our Church and trick or treating in our neighborhood this year. He can say "trick or treat" like a pro and was even changing up the regular Halloween etiquette by helping people close their door after they gave him candy. Ty also had a great birthday...we celebrated before heading out to trick or treat. I decided to try a car cake and it turned out pretty well for my first attempt. :) He also loved blowing out his candle. He has been practicing on candles at Nana's house. We hope everyone had a great Halloween!

Labor Day in Seattle
Jamie and I drove over to Seattle to stay with Bret and Laura for Labor Day weekend. They just moved to Seattle from Salt Lake last month. They have this cute place on Queen Anne which is right where Kerry Park is...I love that park because it was in that movie 10 Things I Hate About You and because it is just an amazing view! Here is what we did: We ate breakfast Saturday at the 5 Spot which was delicious! They change their theme every 3 months. The theme was Puerto Rico when we were there. We went to IKEA. Went to Pikes Place and did other shopping downtown. Ate at Mediterranean Kitchen in Bellevue which was probably the biggest highlight of the trip...if you love garlic then check it out! Walked around Bell Square. Drove to Tacoma to check out a car for Bret and Laura. Ate Dinner with Lynette and her boyfriend Sam. Ate at this Thai place and had a raccoon walk right past our table. It was insane because Bret and Laura just told us this story about these vicious raccoons fighting a cat in a tree...We had a blast! Thanks for being great hosts Bret and Laura!
30
Yep. It is true. I am now the big 3-0! It is so weird. Here is my yummy Dairy Queen birthday cake and notice the 1 candle. I had no problem with that! :)

Melinda is Married!
Melinda Miller is now Melinda Fisk! Melinda and Landan were married for time and all eternity on Saturday, July 25th in the Spokane, Washington Temple around 9am. It was a beautiful and sweet ceremony and it was a beautiful day outside too! I did Melinda's hair, which was fun and stressful at the same time because I was going for perfection in a short amount of time! They are currently honeymooning in Canada. Congrats guys! These are some pictures we captured on our personal camera...but there were lots more being taken by professionals. Hopefully, these pictures are enough to satisfy your curiosity!
Hiawatha Trail
Carynn, Jamie, Dad Miller and Grandpa Miller decided to take on the Hiawatha Trail which is an hour and a half east of Spokane. It is right on the Idaho/Montana border. It is a cool 15 mile bike trail that follows an old train track that was put of commission and dismantled in the 1980's. It is mostly downhill and there are a lot of pitch black tunnels - hence the cool headlight I am sporting in some of the pictures.
